Memorial Vacation

Over Memorial Day took a fabulous little trip to the Olympic Penninsula and up to Vitoria, Canada. We did tons of cool things, and because of my own time costraints, I'll post pictures one event at a time.

The pictures today are of the Olympic Game Farm. Years ago this place was owned by Disney. It was the place they kept most of their animal actors. Many animals from 'Grizzly Adams' ended up here. 'Big Ben' himself was once there. Disney no longer owns it, but there are still children and grandchildren of those original animals, as well as other retired actors and some rescued animals as well. They are a very tame crowd, and they let you (for a fee of course) drive your car through this place and feed the animals whole grain bread. My kids thought it was a riot. And I must say that if you've never had a bison stick his head in your car window, you should really give it a try. More on our trip later...

Big Ben's grandchild?

Annie tried hard to like this activity. She was afraid of the big scary teeth these animals have, and at the same time mad at herself that she was scared to feed them. She did eventually recover enough to balance bread on the window sill of the car for the animals to get.

Don't watch this one without your volume on.
The sound is the best part.

I love high pitched scream. It looks like a fun place to visit.
